Spend how much for a used Blue Busa?

I'm looking at a Blue Busa '00 with 3000 miles on it, which was bought new in April'00, supposedly. The guy's asking 10,500 (I realize the logic to this), but I'm not sure what I should offer him, probably 9,000. Its totally stock, according to him, except for the exhaust system.
Around noon today, a dealer offered me a shiny new blue Busa for $11,000 out the door! So, you can see my dilemma. Any input will help. Thanks!

I would spend the extra $500 and take the brand new one any day of the week!!! You never know what has or hasn't been done to that bike with 3000 miles on it. Like mine it only has 1900 miles on it but it has hundreds, if not thousands, of passes on it at the drag strip. Not to mention it was abused right off the showroom floor basically. It went to the drag strip the day after I bought it!
