Split second power lost

Hello,

Today I decided to check acceleration under good conditions (no traffic, dry road) so while in 3rd gear I full-opened the throttle. The bike sped up very quickly as expected and kept accelerating but within 2-3 sec lost power for a very short time (fraction of a second or something), then came back again. I didn't glance at the instruments, as my entire attention focused on the road...
Any explanation? Is that perhaps the wheelie prevention system (lift control)?

Was the gas tank getting low. I asked because my Gen 2 will starve for fuel and it's getting close to empty long before it actually runs out.

Factory/default ones. I see no reason to deactivate lift control, I intend keeping me and the bike in one piece, thanks
He's saying the the TRACTION CONTROL not lift control might've kicked in due to wheel spin and pulled power. Lift control doesn't pull power as aggressively as TC does I've noticed. I have mine set to TC off LF 1 EB 1 QS 1 PWR 1 I could actually feel a difference in power delivery once I turned the TC off. It's more "direct" feeling.

Did your foot push slightly on the shifter?
That’s an excellent point too. If noticed the problem everyone here seems to have with the quick shifter happens when I’m lazy with the up shift or I’m wearing a flexible shoe. In my riding boots I never have a hang up or momentary delay in power.

I run Lift and TC off all the time. I race a 2 stroke motocross bike so maybe it's just the old school in me. My ZX10 doens't even have these fancy controls. Did this happen during a shift using the quick shifter? Is it possible there was something on the road you didn't see and the TC kicked in?

unlikely :-(

I think it had 3d gear but now you planted the doubt!
Lots of people have had a similar thing happen while up shifting using the quickshifter is why it matters. It's happened to me and I think I've got it narrowed down to "lazy shifting". I my riding boots that have a very stiff toe box it's never happened to me. But when I'm wearing my Doc Martins or tennis shoes is when it'll happen occasionally.
