BMW then Hayabusa
Fun to ride - BMW 9.0 - Busa 8.4
Quality - 9.4 - 8.7
Instruments and controls 9.1 - 8.7
Ergonomics 9.0 - 8.4
Chassis and handling 8.8 - 8.3
Suspension 9.2 - 8.2
Brakes 8.8 - 8.3
Transmission 8.8 - 8.8
Engine power 9.5 - 9.0
Engine-power delivery 9.3 - 8.8
Total 90.0 - 85.6
They really do make my aspiring bike out to be garbage, except for the 'silky smooth transmission' and the top speed. (And even those weren't enough to merit a 'win')
This column has no effect on my purchase next spring, but it does irk me that they make the Hayabusa seem like some antiquated POS.
Furthermore, is it really true that the first thing I should do when I get a Busa is to toss on steel brake cables (was going to anyway since default won't reach with both bar risers) and new rotors and pads?
