Sporttech double bubble

Has anyone removed that film on the inside of the windscreen? I have a chrome blue double bubble on my 04 busa. There is a disclaimer on the windscreen that says that the manufacturer is not responsible for sun damage to the plastics if the owner removes this.  How possible is that?  Also, my ezpass doesn't work from under it (for the millionth post)

The reason Sportech put the film on the inside of the windscreen is that the sun WILL melt the plastics around your gauges.

Ever start a fire with a magnifying glass? Same principle is involved. They got tired of replacing gauge clusters for people.

Do not remove the film.

Cannot help with the ezpass deal, I live in Iowa - no toll roads..

For me

I would trash the thing. We do have toll roads here, and not using the EZ Pass would make the screen useless for me ! What a sorry design from a manufacture
