springs for exhaust system

Installed akrapovic race exhaust system on my 05 busa. What is the purpose of the header springs. the stock system didn't have them

The stock system is more of a 1 pc. unit, therefore dont need the springs to hold the seperate pieces.

I know but what I mean is the pipes that go to the head those springs thanks
