sprocket front and back

I was considering changing both sprockets out going -1 +2. Any thoughts out there on this? Would I need a different size chain.? I have no idea about this really. Looking for advise.

Same chain. I race with it. Too many rpms cruising on the street for me so I don’t normally run it on the street. (Although that is what is on it this week) Some like it, some don't. You can find many threads on it here and quite a few opinions. Put a 16 on the front and try it. If you want more swap the rear to a 42. Both will make about the same difference. I prefer to run the 17/40 on the street but run a 17/42 some as well. I left the 16/42 on to ride it on the street between races (and to remind myself why I don’t like it on the street)

Well if i did do a swap it would be for good. I dont race or anything. Just looking for the most boost I can get for the least amount of cash. Were is a good place to get the sprockets. Looking for best quality. Oh and I would get a new chain too. This one has 20k on it. Its original. Looks like its in good shape but i figure i should just do it all at one time. So same goes for a high quality chain too if you have any suggestions. thanks

Get ahold of one of the board sponsors.
I got my 16/42 setup from Charles at StreetnTrack along with a SpeedoHealer (A MUST for doing gearing changes!)

There is also GoldenChild (Cloud9Motorsports),
HPC ... etc

Any of the board sponsors will hook you up with great price and service! ALWAYS contact one of them first

Speed geek is giving you some good info. I like the EK ZZZ Chain. If you ran the stock one 20K, the ZVX2 would also be a good choice. GPW/HPC has some sidewinders he thinks highly of, but I don't have any personal experience with them. Stick with a good quality X-ring chain with at least 10K in tensile strength. . There are several good sprockets in steel. PBI, sprocket specialist, JT, Vortex are just the ones I can think of real quick.

The board sponsors will steer you the right way.
