I'm running a 16/42 at the strip but I’m stock wheelbase. Depending on your weight and stretch a 16/43 may work better for you. 16/42 puts me in the top of 4th at the lights.
I don't race on the street but use a 17/42 on the street.
I think he is looking for combo suggestions not where to find parts at least not yet.
16/42 is what I have & highly recomend
17/43 is what Im going to next just for the hell of it(probably wont even notice a difference)
dont believe people that will say the front end comes up to easy with a sprocket change thats a operator error
take time to get a feel for the bike again you wont believe the difference
enjoy & most of all be safe.
stock sprockets really tame the busa again TAKE TIME TO ADJUST TO THE CHANGE & BE SAFE
i ended up with 16/42.... lots of low end pull but man did my revs at 100 go way up. im going back to 17/40 for anytime other than going to the track.
i ran 10.3 last night my best of about 5 passes. i really need a new map for my pc3 as i think im really outta whack!
met professor at the track, wonderful guy. a pleasure to meet him and boy hes got the goodies! laptop in his trailer to tune between runs. im sure looking forward to him teachin me a few things and maybe givin me some advice!
