You've got to understand, I live in a small town; there are less than 10 sportbikes I see around here. Mostly squids with huge chicken strips who like to rip it thru the neighborhood like 2 year olds...

Apparently, one of them decided to let someone ride their bike with the intent of selling it. The guy and his girlfriend (both in their late 20's and who have previous run-ins with the law) are doing about 65 in a 30 on a backroad near me when they run up on a LEO...tried to run - blew the turn less than 1000ft from where they crossed paths with the LEO, hit embankment. Tossed them both; the bike blew up (fire).

Both had helmets on but little else. Both were lifeflighted and are in critical condition. Something caught the man on the way off the bike, they found both his testicles on the scene; gonna lose a leg if he lives, broken neck, broken back, etc. Understand the Pillion isn't in much better shape. Neither may live.

Mixed feelings. Hate to see any rider down. But there is some Karma here...I just keep thinkin about the a) Hospital bills my tax dollars are going to be paying and b) If he lives, the disability he's probably gonna collect the rest of his life....

Several things to be learned from this, from the seller...to the fake buyer...to the girlfriend who's "down".

Bad thief! :firedevil:

dang, I hate squids as much as any serious rider. but i dont want to see anyones nuts get ripped off.

Couple things worth learning from this situation. First cash in hand before a test ride happens. 2nd test rides only need one pilot, 3rd running never pays in the long run, sometimes even in the short term like this situation.

Hard to feel bad for people that create their own problems.

Just hope he dies soon to cut down on your expenses :)

In a high voice 'testicles on the street' !
Ouch
Blew his nuts off huh ?

That sounds like one of those test questions.....pick out all the mistakes made in this scenario.......hopefully somebody learns something from this.

Thankfully, they had yet to procreate so no children involved....

stupid should hurt.... in this case perhaps they felt it prior to being knocked out. As mentioned lots of lessons to learn but seems they would have ended up in a similar situation at some point down the road. I've not run a criminal history when selling a car but surely would never allow test drives without cash in hand or something ...nah cash

The guy was 28, the girl was only 21, she was transported via ambulance and in critical he was the only one lifeflighted. I went down to the accident site this evening...a couple of charred spots in someone's yard is about it but you can see what happened....

In other news, a 21 year old Marine from here was killed in Afghanistan last week...went to the local high school, etc...talk about the range of tragedy....
