Stand alone ECU question??!?

So I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on aftermarket ECU. I'm just wondering what all sensors are you guys running and what are you guys running?

I was told they require almost a complete rewire. I could have been feed the wrong info though.

I've ran mega junk in a few builds over the years. It works great. Just not gonna ago that route this time around

Mega junk will do EVERYTHING all the other boxes do. Nothing is better then the others. It's about who is the guy behind the keyboard. It's pretty simple you tell the ECU to do something and it gets done regardless of the name on the box.

Fuel and oil Pressures,
gear position voltage
Battery Voltage
IAT Post inter cooler

Okay maybe I lied. Different MAP sensor.

I'm a FuelTech Guy and I monitor all the factory sensors plus, oil pressure, fuel pressure, air shift pressure, nitrous bottle pressure, nitrous jet pressure, shock travel and pan vacuum. What actually gets logged on each pass is ridiculous.

i use a GM 3 bar map sensor

GM Coolant sensor

BMW air tempature sensor (came with the water to air intercooler i welded to plenum)

14point7 wideband sensor

I can help get a stand alone wired for plug and play. Do mainly maxx race setups, I personally use a maxx sport on gen1 turbo busa sand rail, with fuel, oil pressure, dual bppst solenoids, intale air temp, monitor speed as well as all the normal stuff.

I make it so you remove stock ecu and plug my adapter box in and put new ecu in tail. I repurpose unused factory connectors to interface with new sensors like pressure, temperature, outputs for shift lights, boost or nitrous control, etc.

That looks great Greg. Thinking about ditching my motec m84 for something like this. It would be nice to have boost control through ecu.

No boost control through the m84?

Depending on what you want to do fuel tech might be cheaper. Nice then about the fuel tech you don’t have to buy a dash and you don’t have to buy a laser for the front. It’s all done Thur the ecu. Pretty cool.

You need an engineering degree to operate it. I should probably at least get a ams2000 to replace my 1000. I'd love to have boost by gear.
