Hello all, I have a stock 2002 busa with a starter clucth thats slipping, bike still starts but not always on the first try. The battery has always been on a tender and is showing just over 13 volts. I also hold down the stater until it starts to prevent kick back but it still happens sometimes. Going out to start this thing feels like playing a slot machine, never a positive feeling when I press the button. I know replacing all starter parts with 03 or newer would be the best solution, but with other expenses that will have to wait. I,m going to go for the bigger battery & Schnitz sleeve & new starter clucth. What I dont know is if the new and only available part#12600-24840 will fit my bike with its current 02 hardware? I checked all over this board and the web and could not find for sure positive answer, All supplier microfiches I have checked online show the new number as a replacement, but nothing about compatability.
