Starter

Thinking my starter may be going out. So today just taking the kids for rides up and down the street I turn her off, go to switch her back on and she shutters then the the time jumps like the battery went dead. She finally turns on but does the same thing as I try to duplicate my previous steps.

Is my battery or starter?
BACKGROUND: The battery has about 7000 miles on it and is about a year old. I added HID lights about 6 months and I am running a per cable to charge the phone. The service was just completed last week oil and filter and air filter change.

Yes sir had that done last year or same year the recall was issued. I plan to take a long road trip FLA in three weeks I really don't want to be stranded at all

Original battery? Have it checked. If I remember right, you have an 08? Your right at expected battery life. Any electronic add ons? Start simple, check all connections, make sure nothing has come loose. This applies to oem and add on.

Yes I have an 08, I have ran all the connections and the battery is just under a year old. I plan to take it to have it tested tomorrow make sure the charge is good.

Have the battery checked. If it's good start looking at drains. You can disconnect the add-ons and see if it goes away and then add one at a time and see what happens. The electrical troubleshooting on the charging circuit and drain check is simple. Best of luck.

do a charging system check but ill bet its battery.. it sounds like a bad cell
