One of the guys I ride with went down on his 1999 Busa last weekend and now his busa wont start. If we run power to the starter it fires up with out a problem. Does anyone know what would cause that?

Well if it were the tip over sensor it shouldnt start at all correct? But when we run power directly to the starter its starts up.

I'm not sure on that,I thought it just killed the starter button.I'll check the maintainance manuel.

Maybe the start solenoid, how about a relay... I don't have a manual in front of me to look at the schematics, but that just a quick answer. Besides the button's broken. How about any of the little micro switch, clutch lever..

Did he go down on the left? Check the kick stand switch and wiggle the two small connectors under the clutch resevour like Powers recommended.

that's cool, but if ya need this

This begs a question.

If I ever lay this thing down (god forbid) the tip over sensor should shut it off. Is there a reset switch I need to hit to get it running again after I stand it back up? I can't find this in the owners manual.

I belive you only have to turn off the ignition (key) and turn it back on. Then it should start. Thats how it works on a yamahas.
