Stebel horn cracked the Radiator

I guess I hit my brakes too hard and the fender smashed my horn into the radiator.  I noticed it coming out of the store and a pool of green blood laying beneath her. I was just doing normal riding, there was no situation for me to slam on the front brake. Im going to remove the stebel when I get her fixed. I searched and searched before i bought this looking for people this had happened too and couldn't find one. Hopefully we can learn from me.

sorry about your bad luck. that is a new one, i guess you never think of this happens when braking hard

I've only seen that happen on lowered bikes, it fits there on most stock bikes fine.

were you lowered?

Its the 08, other than an r-77 4-2-1 its stock, lol. OEM Radiators are $540! I hope i can get it repaired.

I put my horn under the tank, works good

I also orginally had it under the tank, it takes the DB's down quite a bit unfortunately. Here in the bay area its a must to have attention when I need it!

I removed mine because of worrying about that and now that I am lowere 3/4 inch up front, it would hit ALL the time. Might look for another mounting location or might sell it... sorry to hear this!
