about removing the stickers. what's the best way to get em off? also- the dealer put his decal on the tail. same question. thx

I used a heat gun and then a little Goo-gone, available at any hardware store.  If my dealer had put a sticker on Evelyn, I would have slapped him!

Yes a heat gun and Goo gone is what I use and the handle portion of a disposable razor. After the sticker is all gone a little Honda Polish to shine the area.

Rubbing alcohol plus water for the tank sticker and the others should come right off....

We all went through this pain in the arse, so it's cool. But rubbing alcohol + water worked fine for me on the tank.

bada-bump!!! ... because a new busa owner is born every 24.45666633 hours!!!!

just took mine off. try to peel them first as some will come right off. others will require hair dryer/heat gun and goo gone or wd40 to remove the glue . patience...

Or you could just use on of these:
http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog....ool=all

They have an attachment (not shown online) part # PT280-303MP3 called a rubber eraser wheel. Safely removes ANY decal without harming paint.

Problem with peeling without heating as mentioned is that it could peel up some paint. Personal experience.

The ones on the inner panels peel right off, the ones on the frame ie. EPA, VIN, consumer warnings all those (Heat Gun, flat razor, goo gone, patience)
The actual Kanji and "S" on the tank, fairing stickers, no idea, never done it.

I used a hot wet rag.. let it soak... pick at it.. Repeat. WD 40 to get off the glue residue.

I just used a hair dryer and finger nail ! But then I did it the first day I bought the bike

. Goo Gone with heat (I recommend a hair dryer because it doesn't get as hot as a heat gun can - messing up the clear coat if your not careful) and then WAX the surface

hey- thx for all the tips. found some stuff in my cabinet called "oops". must be like goo gone. had some stickers on my harley sidecar so i figured i'd experiment on that. works good-stickers came right off. then i grabbed the macguires "quick detailer" and spent 4 hours detailing my harley & sidecar. stickers still on the busa next to my wife's hair dryer & can of "oops". i'll get to it tommorow-i'm wore out now.

80 grit paper on a palm sander.

Have plenty of touch up pens available.....

Just kiddin' newguy - Welcome!

The two on the inners just peel off, but use a heat gun carefully of the tank, then some goo gone, wash and wax.

Anyone saying goo gone, alcohol, RAZOR BLADES!?!?!?! is crazy. Do it right. Peel the sticker off with your nails, fine grit sand paper, etc. A razor blade is sure to gouge your paint. Then get a decent cleaner. Generally something used for paint prep will work like a charm to remove excess adhesive. And then some rubbing compound and a rag.

Not on the aluminum finish frame.
I wouldn't have use a razor on it if it was the Black frame.

You got me all wondering about the big fairing pinstriping stickers, so I peeled those off too.

Those come off best if you start an edge, turn the bike so that side faces the sun and that's sufficient to warm the sticker. slowly peel off.
