I think i'm gonna pull my rear tire back in..I'm afraid it'll hit my tail with a passenger on the back, too costly to change the rear shock & i took an aggressive ride this morning & found that i had less traction than before when it was at 4" over..any advice?

Tell your passenger to get their own bike:laugh: Looks great.. but if you feel uncomfortable for the way you corner get her back to something you like. good luck. Are yoiu going to have to change the swingarm to go back???

Any stretch is going to loosen the traction, Less weight over the rear tire, First time mine broke loose scared the beegeebees out of me.

Did you get any info on preloading the shock.

Other than that, if you cant afford the shock right now it might be a good idea to bring it back in, It only takes once to mess up that undertail.

this is the after i stretched it out more...made a big difference with traction & i'm really worried about my undertail..I did no preload adjustment

I ran into the same problem. My fix was a $110 tiger undertail. Now I have additional 4" of clearance and the tire never contacts the body.

As far as the loss of traction... I started at 6" of stretch rode around did not like the traction then I removed a link at a time and test rode the new stretch. I found out that 4.5" of stretch works perfectly for me. You will have to buy some extra master links and have a chain tool to do this. I only had to remove two links but I found my answer.

i really should tell my passenger to get her own bike but then i would become single...i must be crazy..at least i've figured what to do when i get married..but i'll still have the traction problem...i wish i could take my mirrors off but i'm always interested to see who's coming up behind me

We got a lot ladies riding their own bikes here an wouldn't have it any other way  who knows maybe she would like to pilot her own,so that when you get into an argument on the road she can leave you out there by yourself an enjoy the ride anyway:laugh: jkjk

I have seen a couple of girls that went from a passenger saying i'll never ride my own to "the only way we riding is if I am driving" You know what i mean.. Oh btw way you would be obligated to buy her !st bike so maybe you are better off just shortening it.
