Stuff in Coolant Tank??

Does anybody know of a definitive answer as to what the 'stuff' collected on the bottom of my coolant resevoir is? It almost appears to be a white foam of sorts? Also, have any of you used 'AMSOIL' products--I'm thinking of some oil options... I've got 10,000 miles so far.

Jersey, I just recently changed my Coolant, I'm using Coolanol From maxima,& water wetter. Coolanol is a 50/50 mix that you don't have to ad Water to. The way I did it was Flush the whole system,Empty the radiator, then then begin to flush/pull the hose from the water pump on the Left side, stick a hose in the radiator,,start the bike, and let it run while flushing the whole system till it comes out clear plain water. Flush the recovery Tank also, and re-fill with coolant till the level line. Put the whole bottle of water wetter, and then the Maxima pre-mix,you'll see a diff in your Temp. My nedle hardly gets into the red where the fan kicks on, except in Bullshitt Bergen County traffic.

I just Came off of Amsoil 2000, 20-50 Race Oil. it was ok,,but not as good as the Golden Spectro 20-50 "Motorcycle Oil" I'm using now, smoothest shifting I've had yet on my Busa. Amsoil is great oil for cars, just ok for bikes when it comes to shifting.

FC, as always thanks for the helpful info. I'll have the guys over at Washington Cycle do it when they do my brakes and lines soon (either Galfer or Goodridge lines...) I'm taking your suggestion on the whole front brake thing soon. I'll also see if they have that golden stuff for my oil change. later.
