Stupid clock won't let me set it

I set the clock when I first got the bike and when DST came around I tried to reset it and I cannot get it go into the set mode. I tried my finger, my key and a pen but none of them hit it magically. I am thinking there is something wrong with the button behind the rubber grommet that covers it. Does the grommet just pull out or do I need to remove the whole instrument cluster?

Anyone got any suggestions?

How long did you hold the button down? Mine seems to take a long time in order to get it in to "set time" mode.

I held it for at least 15-20 seconds. I kept waiting for the display to change but it never does. The manual says 5 seconds though.
