I did try to warn everyone regarding Carnell!!!
I should be hearing today (phone call promised) regarding waranty work now 15 weeks into ownership, work agreed on at time of purchase.........
I did read Ride, have you joined the Dealer Watch scheme yet?
I had a bad experience at this other dealers a couple of years ago, and I went in there friday to get a rainsuit I liked the look of, and the mechanic comes out and starts talking to me about the bike. He says where are you going to get it serviced? I said TTS Silverstone. He asks why I don't let him do it, do I think he isn't capable. So I tell him I know he isn't capable, and remind him of my previous bike. I'm now looking for the rain suit elsewhere!!!
You just can't trust the buggers. I now know of 2 places that I have heard glowing reports of that I would be willing to take my bike. Everywhere else can go and swivel, coz at the end of the day, on two wheels what they do determins if you live, get maimed or die. Like the dealer who forgot to tighten my mates rear axle nut, or the dealer who forgot to put one set of front pads in, or the one who sold a mate a new bike, it blew up 10 miles down the road and took 18 months before he got his money back, or the dealer who sold me a bike, supposedly with 4000 mile service just done, no air filter, no new oil filter, oil comes out 2 different types, some brown some black, rusty chain.Or the new bike just paid for by a mate, supposed to be picking up at weekend 4 days to go he pops into showroom to make sure all is okay with sales guy only to see his bike in show room, people sitting on it and trying it out for size!!Or the bike that went in for a service 8.30 am friday. They ring up at 4.30 to say some parts won't be in till monday. Mate sees his bike racing around the streets of London on Saturday afternoon!!Or the dealers that tell you a service will cost £125 including VAT and service parts. Go back to pick it up, knowing that all was okay before it went in only to find that your rear brakes needed changing, old ones thrown away, and oil, filter and odd bit of grease is extra, and they charged for fitting the brake pads at 1 hours labour, then add VAT on top!! Total price £235. Or the dealer who forgot to tighten mates head bearing nut, or the dealer who reckoned they serviced loads of Busas, mate took his in, they ring up telling him that the previous service guy had broken off the fuel tap knob, the same dealer who scratched the hell out of my rear rim fitting a new tyre, or the dealer who kinked fuel feed hose on a mates bike, causing fuel pump to get a touch hot and nearly causing a bad accident at junction.
The list goes on and on and on and on.....
TO all the good dealers i haven't found, make yourselves known, but then, if you are any good, the news quickly travels! but not as fast as the sh1t ones!
Sorry for the rant.....just letting off steam
