Sunny And The Roads Were Dry..

So I went for a ride. Was about 56-58 degrees but was sunny, dry road, and no wind. Off work all this week, nice to be able to get out and enjoy an afternoon on the bike.
Thought I'd share a little of the fun. As usual, the GoPro is down on volume, it's there just have to turn it up some.. Ride In The Country on Vimeo

Gonna work with a little different mounting style tomorrow. Be patient, I'm learning.

Smooth!!!! I have one I use for side mounted and rear shots. It has stayed on the bike at speeds into the triple digits.

It rained like crazy the other day and washed the roads clean of salt. Just got to watch around dirt side roads for a little wash out. I've rode that road so many times I know every detail of it. One of the least traffic roads around here too.:)

Thanks for the ride, Tom. For what it's worth, I like the present mounting, seeing the dash like that adds to the watching experience, as it's like being on the bike.

nice :beerchug: the winds were a little gusty yesterday evening when i was out but i'm hoping for some good weather later this afternoon

Nice Tom. Did you mount camera on tank with the suction cup? Was the sound set Lo, or Hi?
Wish I could play with my camera... Weather is keeping all two wheeled machines winterized. Maybe I'll take camera to work, mount to front bumper of cruiser, throw the lights/siren on and drive like an azzhat through traffic. lol
Did you find editing software?
I am trying youtube, vimeo and p-bucket for vids., I think I like Vimeo best. That must have taken a few minutes to upload?
Nicely done.

Thank you.
Yep, used the suction cup mount. Front of the tank was the only flat spot I could find right off that the cup would reliably stick to (I tied a string around the mount base and attached it to my tank bag just to be safe:laugh:). Sound was set on LO.
Not having much luck with the Movie Maker stuff, think it works better with Vista than my "old XP". I'll keep looking and experimenting.
Vimeo has a little better resolution quality than YouTube, so I used it for the post. But neither looks as good as the original capture I have on my computer. And yes, it took over 2 hours to upload.
Got another 240 something MB vid here I may upload Friday, when my 500MB allowance is renewed.
Going to get cold here tomorrow again too, so bike parked and camera put away until the sun shines and warmth returns.

Great ride! Im waiting for all the salt to shoo away, for some reason Chicago likes to drop salt by the pounds per square feet.
