Wow, it's been a long time since I discussed "making it more black" with my friends! Finally, today I pressed bearings on and reassembled the fork to the motorcycle. One cool thing, each step feels like a milestone....ain't like a test ride but gotta pay these wrenching dues to get it to its final configuration! Seems like this project makes me think and dream a lot...when it'll be a finished project and begging to be ridden hard!

Shot a few pics of today, last ones start from a pile of annodized aluminum to BLACK Satos, I like em so much more than when they were gold.(better get em off the dining room table before my wife gets home!) More later. Doyle

1 bite at time, she's coming along tho.

I haven't noticed the ITB filters, its a shame ya cent see that lil Easter egg when she's not being wrenched on.

I'm very curious to know what else is in store ? Looking real good

Well the next thing is to replace all radiator hoses with silicon gloss black custom cut hoses. Also black bottom bracketed 0-6" swingarm. That'll be it for awhile until I can afford to blow out the motor (try for 200 rwhp, no turbo, no juice). I may take another 2 years before I do the motor, it should be plenty responsive now with 16/45 gearing and 455 pounds!

Cool  I'm loving those bar end mirrors you got on there, got a pair on mine. Ive owned soo many different pairs and I love these the best for my busa :beerchug:

Looks good buddy!

I think Doyle has a LOVE & HATE relationship with me........I think he LOVES to come over to my shop as we are both like minded spirited riders with a passion for all things motorcycles. He HATES that everytime he's there I give him input on things I would like to see on Superbyke that would make it even better than the fine job he has already done to date. I kinda like spinning his wheel.....thrown an idea out there.......watch him get excited.......then wait for excited turn to concerned when he realizes the parts are going to be expensive.

pic 3 pros& cons for the individual filter

pic 3 pros& cons for the individual filter

Pros...liteweight, looks like an F1 induction tract in person, sounds like a supercharger, still breathes well, part of my "remove everything possible" mentality(especially plastic stuff), great bike night thing to display, really unique look for a Busa.
Cons...probably loss of 2-4 hp on the big end (flow), a little louder, must be careful when washing...that's all I can think of! Doyle
