Suspension Mods

I read the latest Superbike. They had a bike of the year competition. Although I wonder about the validity of their selection (the R7 won) because of the limited production of this machine, I would agree that the stock Hayabusa can be improved handling wise. Any suggestions for suspension changes (including replacing with after-market parts)? I am NOT looking to take a torch to the frame, nor do I expect to keep up with a track bike in the twisties, but there must be something significant I can to
Thanks

I have the local Race service center change the fork and shock oil at 1000 miles. They call the factory stuff fish oil, it looks and smells like it to

ditch the stock fork "fish oil" & put in some RED LINE 10wt synthetic suspension fluid.
if you haven't changed settings you might try this as a starting point,
front:preload-3 lines showing,compression out 2 clicks,rebound out 2 clicks
rear: compression-5 clicks out,rebound-7 clicks out.
("out" after running all the way in)

Your first step is to decide if you have a problem, and what it might be:

- suspension bottoms in bumps or hollows.
- rear jutters under braking.
- rear jumps on the brakes.
- rear tops out too fast under braking.
- front oversteering.
- rear wheel slide under acceleration
- front harsh ride over bumps.

These are examples, you first need to identify and then make 1 change and test the bike. You need to repeate this over and over until you no longer have any adjustments. Then you start with aftermarket parts (Ohlins rear shock, etc.)

Proper suspension setup (sag is very important) will make your bike handle much better.
