Welcome. Have you already tried setting up your current suspension for your weight/riding style?

Welcome aboard!!! And I'm with kromdom. Try adjusting first!!!

If you want to stiffen up your forks, try adding a few clicks of compression.

You won't know if you need springs until your adjust your sag. If you adjust your sag and still have 40+ mm of sag you may want to consider springs.

Tuf the last time we talked you sent me this pic of yourself and said suspenders worked fine for sag?
I'm confused?

I havent checked my sag yet cuz I need to buy a tape measure thats in MM but I have turned up my preload in my fork and it feels alot better. I only have one more turn to go to stiffin ithe forks and for my weight race tech recommends a stiffer spring and thanks for all the info

You can always print one from google images.
Tie a zip tie up to the top just under dust seal then sit on it.
Get off and use your paper mm ruler to see how much it is.
Only has to work once or twice, the paper that is.

That should work no?

How heavy are you?
How hard do you ride?
Canyon carving?
Track days?

I mean initially you should set up the stock suspension anyway for you. It will make a noticeable difference but depending on how much you weigh and how hard you ride, the Busa suspension typically needs help. Now on the Gen I Busas the front forks suck. Gen IIs may fare better but I have never had a chance to beat one up in the corners. It was better when cruising around IIRC.

Now on my Gen I, I went all out on suspension and brakes. Huge difference in both categories and I mean huge.

<-------------------------------------------------> This is six inches right, anyway looks like you have the information you need and :welcome: to the oRg

If you are cranking the preload up that far you need springs. THe valves and stuff are more of a question of personal taste and the demands your riding puts on the bike. But the springs will give you the adjustment range in the stock setup that you need to get things right.
