suzuki tank pad

are there any opinions on the genuine suzuki tank pad for a 04 LE. Im trying to decide whether to go with a pad or a bra.

I can never get the bra to fit without some type of wrinkle in it, so I took mine off. Going with a tank pad for now.

i ordered the tank pad today. I agree with you most bras dont fit and they take away from the look of the bike.

Too late now, but I like my tankslappers.com cover. It is clear, and you can't even tell it is on from ten feet away. It attaches by static cling, you spray on some water, lay it down, squeegee it flat, and you are done. If you ever want to take it off, there is no adhesives and no residue.

Best part: 18 bucks:p

I think that bras take away from the beauty of the bike. Event the color matched ones don't look as good as a bling tank. But I guess they protect better. But what is the point in protecting it if you can't see it anyway?

I bought a pad from the Suziki dealer that says "Hayabusa" on it. It's the carbon fiber look. I have no Idea if it is genuine Suzuki, but it does the job.

Yeah I have the carbon fiber bra, and it looks good, and fits well, since the carbon parts are cut separate of the leather parts and fit around the lovely curves of the tank. It looks a lot better than pics I have seen of the all leather one.

I picked up a Harris tankpad....it has come carbon fiber look to it and the Kanji logo and says "Hayabusa", looks pretty good....it is black, red and white and you can get the matching hand grips too....

i just put on a tank pad i picked up at the local bike shop "Atlantic Cycle" in Whinte Plains, Md (even thou i would never buy a bike from them, they are high as hell and aint given any body the BRAKE!!"
But the pad is cool, its made by Keith and its black and silver graphics look good against my red o4 in between the tank and that sweet assed Tobin seat.......

I went with the factory CF pad on my '04 LE. Looks great, and it doesn't change the look of the bike from the side. I did trim the cowl to allow the grab bar to stay in place all of the time. It looks like a mini rear spoiler (like the rear of a Busa needs to be spoiled).

I gues it does give people something to look at (for a very short time) as you pull away from them.

The spoiler, that is.

There are a few companies that make a clear film that's really tough. I had some put on the headlights of my S60. It's really hard to see, and it will let the beauty of your bike show.

I used the Tank slapper. This is my second bike with it on it and I love it because it's clear and doesn't take away from the look of the bike.
