Anyone out there have a SV650? Checked out the svriders forum to search for exhausts and came to the conclusion that everyone had everything else but Yoshimuras. Anyone know how the yoshis sound on this bike?
Which yoshi did he get for his sv? I was told the yoshi would sound good but the lance vince or whatever they are sounded louder but not as loud as akros or 2 bros. I just want it to sound deep and to let me know my bike is on. The sv is too quiet stock.
I had a scorpion 1/2 system on my 05' 650 and it sounded good at low rpm's, but was too quiet the rest of the time. All the info I got said the slip on makes almost exactly the same power as the full system and not to waste your money on the full system. I also removed the airbox snorkle and put 1/2 inch spacers under the front gastank mounting bolts. This made a big difference in power and had a nice growl.
My Dad just bought a SV1000S the other day and it has a yosh carbon fiber canisters on it. I hear it sounds great but haven't heard it for myself yet. He is parking the harley and bringing this to the bash this year.....
it's a '99... was the first street bike I got when I came to the US. Back in the day my screen name was Halfabusa99... ahh.. those were the days... then I got the busa... now I have Lucky
Unfortunately the SV is all stock... and any extra $$ I get goes to Lucky
Well I had to go with the yoshimuras and again a great choice. Sounds awesome. Not too loud, almost like running no cans but still quite sensable. Again I had to remove the baffle inserts. This time the allen head bolts were tack welded on so cut and pop and out it came. Great sound. For all who think the yoshis are too quiet you may want to check and see if you have the baffle insert tube. If you do remove it and the deep rumble unleashes. Plus the yoshi stickers are cool.
