Ladies and Gentlemen,
As many of you know, I made it my personal business to prevent this country from sliding into socialism. I have lived in the former Sovient Union for about half of my life, recognize the signs when I see them, and know exactly where the United States is heading. Don't be naive if you think that Republicans, or any political party is capable to prevent it.
If you believe that there is even a small chance for my initiative to be successful, please spread the word about my Kickstarter campaign I launched today, which takes this issue to the whole new level:
Kickstarter campaign
The link to the original thread I am referring to is below. I want to thank MelodicMetalGod, fallenarch, and a few others who participated in that thread, provided their critique, feedback, and opinions. Believe me that your input gave me a lot to think about, helped me to find answers to some important questions you asked, and what is very important - allowed me to find the right words for the Kickstarter campagin, which I hope will convince others to act.
The original thread
As luck has it, today was a really nice and warm day. My wife and I decided to go for a walk on the beach, which turned out to attract many other people doing the same. After a walk, as we were about to get into our car and go back home, I noticed a SUV driving by and parking a few spots away from us. The only reason I paid any attention to that black SUV with tinted windows because it had bright writings all over it, along the following lines: STOP OBAMACARE, HELP OUR VETERANS, WE DON'T WANT SOCIALISM, HONK IF YOU DON'T LIKE OBAMACARE, and probably another half a dozen phrases.
As shy as I am (not really), I told my wife to please wait in the car 'cause I just had to talk to whoever was in that SUV. As I knocked on the driver's side window of the SUV, and the window rolled down, I saw an older woman - a bit to my surpise. It was easy to start a conversation, and we quickly established to be on the same page. The woman turned out to be a local activist trying to do what she can to protest the many things we all hate. She regularly goes to New York City to protest on the streets, says her kids don't want to be driven in her car for some strange reason (sarcasm alert), that she gets honks while she drives as well as occasional finger. Of course, I presented to her my intitiative and she was very interested to learn more.
I tell you this: it's one thing to have a powerful opinion, and it's a different thing to plaster it all over your daily driver and subject yourself to unpredictable outbursts of strangers. Turned out the woman even remembered seeing my book in the store, and just a day earlier was visiting another local chapter leader with whom I happened to communicate recently via emails. Small World! In short, I was invited into the local group of pro-active people, and I have a feeling they may support what I am trying to accomplish.
Of all the trips we made to the same beach, and to the same parking lot, to me, the coincidence of meeting that person is a sign that I am on the right path.
If you have any suggestions on how to improve the Kickstarter presentation, please let me know. Honestly, I am a bit apprehensive regarding my video, but Kickstarter strongly suggests to have one because in their experience the presence of even a simple video noticeably increases chances of success. I initially decide to go without the video, but yesterday the right words came to me, and after multiple tries I could produce something satisfactory.
God Bless America! The rest is up to us.
