tank stickers

Since it's raining like cats and dogs outside, I am in the process of removing the stickers on the new 08.
I got the ones off of the inner fairings easy enough. the ones one the tank and frame are another matter.

I'm not real sure a heat gun on the tank is a smart thing.
Finger nail polish remover maybe?

Any input?

I'm not sure about the 08 but the Gen I Busas have clear coat over the tank stickers. They CANNOT be removed unless you plan on repainting the tank.

There a clear film which is part of the sticker but not a clear coat. I removed mine with no problem.

I finally got the little ##*****'s off.
Heat gun set on low.
Touch of gas to remove the glue film.

Wax on, wax off.

Done.

Waiting for the Heli-Bars.

Same here..no patience for that kinda thing.........so mine stay on......forever

next owner can pull them off
