Tanks Bra and Tank Protectors

I like the look of the tank protectors, especially the chrome one, yet, I really looking for the protection aspect of this mod rather than looks. Is one just as good as the other?

If you're looking for tank protection the bra is the way to go...
be sure it's nice and warm when installed otherwise it will probably sag eventually. As for tank protectors, for the money, they can do a reasonable job of protecting the tank under most circumstances, again be careful with the install because they can sometimes peel up over time...

I've been using this tank pad from ART for 2 years with good results. It is real Carbon Fiber and minor zipper or belt buckle scratches can be polished out of it by hand with a good plastic polish.

Ditto on WarBaby comment. I have had the ART piece for about a month and I really like it. Had a new style Suzuki carbon fiber like leather one but it covered too much of the paint. The ART keeps the tank clean and can still see the paint job.

Sweet, thanks for the pics and the information...After seeing the pics, I agree, the Art is nice and does'nt take away from the tank. I have never seen this style before, I think we have a winner!

I went with the bra for more protection. The fit is not ideal, but it serves the job.

I checked out the ART tank pad site and it said for models 99-02. Isn't the '04 tank the same as the '02? I'm new to Hayabusa so I need to ask.

To my knowledge, all Busa tanks are the same. Notice that flrider above has an `03 Busa.

Mine is a 03 but with 04 black and purple tank and plastics. The ART works wonderfully on the 04 tank. Actually they are all the same shape.

I have an 04 and also have the ART. Totally happy with it. All the years are the same.

The only thing I run on my bikes is a Tankslapper. Protection second to none, cheap, and you can't tell they're there once installed!

I went with the "second Skin" people. It gives me the carbon fiber look and it has a very nice embroidered busa logo on each side. It protects well but ain't looks everything?
