Techmount + Zumo 550 + Vibration = Bad MP3 Playbac

Anyone else having the issue where Zumo 550 MP3 playback sounds fuzzy (like static) when the bike hits the vibe range? I double-checked my mount and it is as secure as it can be as far as the adjustment bolts being good and tight. I know for sure its related to vibration because it gets really bad when the bike hits the 4500RPM range and I can also reach up and hold it nice and firm and the problem goes away. I think I need to do something to the bar of the techmount, I just don't know what exactly. Install slightly thicker rubber washers? Wrap some type of tear-resistant foam rubber around the rod? Help!
