Technical question

I was just wondering if anyone else has these symptoms. I bought my busa new in march of 04. When if got around 600 miles on it my brakes starting squeaking. At first I ignored it cuz a little dust on them can cause that and they seemed to do it REALLY bad after I washed the bike. Well eventually it got embarrassingly bad like to where someone would see a badass bike like that pull up but it would sound like it was from 1990 or something. So I pulled both front calipers off and cleaned the pads and rotors. Put them back on and didn't have a prob for about 500 miles again and bam it started coming back. I cleaned and inspected again and got the same results. After about 3,000 miles it finally quit but I mean every great once in a while when I come to a stop now I still get a very minor squeak. I just find this a little puzzling coming from a brand new bike. My friend made fun of me cuz I was gonna take it back to the dealer to ask em WTF is wrong with this bike my brakes make all kinds of messed up noises. He was like dude if you take your bike to the dealer and tell them to look at it cuz your brakes squeak they are gonna laff at you. It's not a major issue now cuz it pretty much stopped but I tell you if they had kept acting like they were it was gonna go in regaurdless of what he says cuz those bitches were screaming. Just wondering if anybody else maybe experience this.

Try doing the same as you did before, only this time take some sand paper and remove the glaze on both sides of the disk and the braking surface of the pads. Something may have contaminated the braking surface on both the pads and disks such as oil, brake fluid, road grime, etc..:)while you've got the pads out, take time to inspect the pads and make sure the shims are present, these are the thin shiny plates attached to the pads, if they are not there, they will be noisey!!!!!

I have an 03 and have not had any brake problems.

I had a little with after market pads , but not to the point that it was load

I did check them when I had them off. Everything on them was normal and the rotor was smooth as silk. I sprayed brake cleaner all over everything and cleaned them THOUROUGHLY. I would still have problems with them on and off. I changed my pads back in October and did a stainless steel conversion from galfer using the HH composite pads. Haven't heard a peep out of them since. I really believe there was just an issue with those old pads. I just thought I'd see if it happened to anyone else but it's looking like I am a loner on this one.

My stock ones used to sound real bad. Did this till I went with aftermarket pads, then it was nice and quiet.

Come to think of it, my stock pads were noisey as well, changed to EBC HH, alls quiet now and stops on a dime!
