hello fellow speed freaks, just bought a black 99. my friend on the east coast gave me his micron pipe. whats next,the pc box,or do i have someone remap with the yosh box. any advice would be appreciated as there seems to be much discussion on this subject.

thanks for the info mr. bear. i think i might take you up on the saturday trip to carlsbad,although the busa is almost completely disassembled in my shop awaiting the arival of the pipe and lowering kit. however i do have a zr/1100 that would love to make the trip. here's my e mail billyv@simplyweb.net

I don't really know a whole lot, but it depends on what type of performance you are after. If you want top end, Turbo Rick is the one to talk to. Some of his info is probably privileged, but his credentials are good.

I'm in La Mesa, by the way. You should think about making a Saturday afternoon at Carlsbad Raceway. Lots of good info there. Also, check out www.LABusas.org if you haven't done so already. You might want to make a run up to LA with us some weekend. It's a great group up there.

No worries about bike choice. I'm running my GS1100E for now, just to get the hang of things. Might run the Busa later, especially if the LA guys come down and ridicule me too much so I have to put a spankin' on 'em. It's fun no matter what you are riding.

Don't know if I'll make it this Saturday, it depends on what else I have to do that day. But C. Dolan will most likely be there, on his copper machine. He made it into the nines yesterday, with a 9.95 in practice and 9.94 in the bracket final. His bike has stock motor, and he goes about 220, so that's solid riding. Good guy to run with, he knows what he's doing.
