Just picked up the bike today from the dealership for its 600 mile break in service. Also had them install my full yoshi R-77 exhaust, Power Commander Five, and Buell pegs....
Bikes this fast really should not be legal...... I mean the power level.....
"It's over 9000!!!!" -------you need to have seen Dragonballz to get that joke
On a serious note, just DAMN this bike is STUPID FAST. Finally being able to open her up after babying the throttle for so long felt incredible...
First things first, I never knew this bike could be so stable at such high speeds, I got up to 180ish mph before I let off the throttle. I mean, my old Z06 felt a little shaky when I hit 177 mph.... the bike, just completely smooth, the aerodynamics on the busa is truly awesome.
Second, I don't know why a lot of guys think the yoshi is too quiet, but with the baffle removed I think the pipes sound AMAZING, gives that perfect crotch rocket sound! Don't get me wrong, brocks is also sick, but I think the yoshi full exhaust with baffle removed has the perfect sound. Just my opinion!
Third, these buell pegs are great! Have absolutely no clearance problems with the exhaust at all! It may seem like a small adjustment, but that little adjustment makes all the difference. Long rides are more comfortable now, period. Not too mention it is noticeably easier getting into the complete crouching position when getting ready to go top speeds.
I can honestly say that I am extremely happy with my '09 Busa. Suzuki has done a fantastic job at creating masterpiece of a hyperbike. Aside from the nasty acceleration, the bike is just overall extremely fun and comfortable to drive. yes I know the 1k bikes are better at going around corners, but honestly, it doesn't matter. The busa is an overall better bike. With my 6'9 tall giant frame, the Hayabusa handles it just fine.
Oh and my father now wants to put a Jim's 120 or 131 on his harley to keep up with the busa Lets see what happens!!!
Edit- For all of you who say canned maps suck, I disagree (at least for bikes). The canned map on my PC5 is great. The bikes runs very smooth. No rough spots, and the bikes pulls like a freight train!
