Well...guess what...no refund for me. Nope!

Found out last night that we,re gonna owe the friggin IRS $6,000. Yes, that's three zeros and I didn't forget the decimal place.

This in and of itself would not be that bad, but last year we owed $9500, which we are still paying on. This was due to losing my job and covering the difference between the lost wages and the unemployment by pulling out 1/2 of my retirement. Then to top it off, we pulled out the other half after the new year to help pay some bills and the some of the $9500 in taxes.

When we pulled out the 2nd half, we told them to take out all of the taxes, but I guess they miscalculated. Bastids!

Now I get to go on vacation in 10 days to the Cayman Islands and completely relax...NOT. I will be going to the Caymans since the airline tickets and resort reservations are non-refundable, but it sure as hell won't be the happy vacation I thought it was going to be.

Now I know why people rob banks and gas stations

...and the wife wonders why I'm still pissed at my previous employer after two years. Some people just don't know how lucky they are to still be breathing.

Ouch!  That really stinks.  I got laid off from a job the day before I left for a Bike Week vacation in 1999.  It definitely put a damper on the whole trip, so I hope you can still find some relaxation.  I had to sell my beloved Valkyrie to pay a large tax bill that year too.

Yeah, the IRS can definitely be a pain in the azz. But, definitely don't let it ruin a nice planned vacation to the Cayman Islands. You've already spent the money on the trip, at least make it worth it. Have a good time, and then come back and be pissed at the IRS.

Oh man, sorry to hear about that Bro, tha'ts a whole lotta dinero. IRS sucks arse

Damn!!!  That just blows...

I'm sorry...we could start a "don't go postal stkr" fund if you'd like...

Just forget about it while on your trip. To ruin your trip with it would be like the IRS blowing even more $ for you, don't let them. You can't change it so why worry about it when trying to have fun!

I work for the IRS so watch out what you say
wow.gif

kidding, that really blows

I usually try to overpay by having no deduction so I can get a refund

Ah, seems to me if you have to pay, you made money...So owing the IRS would be a good thing, right? Meaning you are very sucsessful...Congrats in a sick kind of way....

Man, Jim... that totally blows, bro. Income tax is bullshid from the word go. They should do away with that whole system and put a sales tax on everything. That way even the deadbeats have to pay taxes.

And I thought I was mad when I had to write a check for one fuggin' dollar to Georgia last year. As bad as that pi$$ed me off, your situation is exponentially worse.

I didnt really read it very well, now that I read it again...

Well anyways, he must have had alot of money in there to be taxed that much...

Ok, it sux..I would be pissed also...
