? I know I'm probably going to get flamed to a smoldering ember but I have just now noticed this. It's some kinda special edition gixxer 1000 right? Until I read ShenoyP's post about his I was totally in the dark. Iv'e google searched and everything and I still don't know. Anyway...GOD ITS SEXY!!! Shenoyp is one very lucky guy. Man...fill me in on this bike.(Just when I thought I was all about sportbikes)

I'll go easy on you. "K5" is the 2005 GSXR1000. It's special, but it's not a special edition. Your local Suzuki dealer should have 'em.

Personally I think the stock exhaust is super-fugly, but everything else about the bike rocks.

I always thought K5 was an inaccurate designation. If K=1000, doesn't that mean K5 = 1005. Shouldn't it be 2K5 instead?

Logically yes... your right about that mate!!

...but suzuki has always coded their gsxr1000, as k1 ... k2 ... k3 ... k4 ... and so on "officially"

Don't matter which side of the pond you are on. The Busa's are coded the same way here too.

not really...in this case, K is not one thousand, but simply "thousand". Hence, K5 = Thousand + 5.

You do have a point though. But I suppose K5 is easier to say then 2K5...
