I was the guy in the 1973 Opel GT at the Busa Bash. I had a great time, met a lot of really great people and had some good food. You guys showed me a good time and I appreciate it. My friend Standiggity (Kyle) invited me up, but didn't tell me it was a cruise/ get together. It worked out, I loved taking the GT on Skyway, really couldn't have any fun on the Dragon. You guys inspired me to organize my own Dragon/ Skyway event and the Opel guys just might be there for a cruise or two around the begining of August. Kyle and I are planning another trip in the beginning of June. I plan to take the GT in June with new brakes, 7 inch wide, 14 inch tall wheels, good tires, and hopefully put my sway bar on there. In August, I'd like to take my modified 1971 Opel Manta with a 2.0 engine, lowering springs, 6.5 wide wheels, and beefier sway bars. Manta's were supposed to perform better out of the box than the GTs, better weight ditribution.

I've been hearing of the progress of Namoi, Roger, and Diesel. Glad to hear that they're alright.

Killboy, US 129, and Zee Photos took a bunch of pics of the GT on my Friday and Saturday trips. Here's the link to my album. And it seems that Killboy has featured the GT on the blog. Some really good pics.

I wouldn't mind seeing you guys again and would be down for the Dragon anytime.

BTW, the GT is called the Phoenix.

I used to own a 1993 Honda Nighthawk 750. Loved it wasn't real comfortable and could have used a sixth gear.

I would love to get a Busa someday. Opels come first, getting a Truck is a priority, then I'm looking for a VTX, and somewhere between finding a 1971-73 Opel Ascona/1900 2 door sedan, and another 90-97 Thunderbird SC 5-speed, I'll look into getting a Busa.

For the record, I have:
2 1973 GTs, 1 1971 Manta (Rally clone), and want another 1971-75 Manta and the 1971-1973 Ascona Sedan.

Wasn't there but....

I keep thinking of things.

Here are some videos that the girl I went with took. She did alright but they're not awesome.

I'm just wondering why you couldn't have any fun on the Dragon. I would think the Opel would be much fun to drive through the Dragon

I was wondering about that little OPEL. Those are really cool, I had an early Ascona that was too rusty in Sarajevo. The car just sort of faded away since for me the facilities were not there for me to tear into it properly..

You're not very far away...maybe you could get up there on a week day. Early mornings or late afternoons are usually pretty light traffic.

It was cool to meet you bro, look forward to seeing you again!

Kyle and I are planning a weekday trip very soon. The GTs ready. If you go by th eamount of pics that Killboy has, weekdays had like 4000 pics and a Saturday had like 15000 pics. It's a good indication of the difference in traffic on a weekday. We'll post the links to the Killboy pics when we come back.
