I am thinking of ditching the MP3 player and going satelite.. this is specifically for the scoot, so I was wondering who s some idears and recommendations?

Install problems? Antenna headaches?

Thanks,

I've been on XM for 3+ years now. My wife's van has Sirius. maybe it's because i'm more used to xm but I don't care for sirius at all. XM also has several portable receivers that would work nicely on a bike.

Get yourself a windows mobile 6 powered phone ex Verizon XV-6800 or an older windows mobile 5 device ex Verizon XV-6700 and I can install the newer WM6. Then install Tom Tom, SiriusCe player, and its also your MP3 player. All in one device sorry havent figured a way for it to cook or clean as of yet! But I am working on it!
Get the sirius radio for your cage and use the program on the phone to access sirius over the internet (through your account) I find the sirus over the internet is better as there are no dead spots like the radio in my truck.

BTW Sirius special lifetime Lifetime Subscriber - $399.99

Not trying to jack your thread. Try going to ppcgeeks.com I have the xv-6700 cooked with all of that. I was waiting for the touch to come out before I upgraded.

I had my xm mouth the Ipodnted on a stem stand and plugged into the auto com. Loved it, but went with an IPOD because I don't want another payment. That lifetime sirrius looks interesting. Also, sirrius has nfl (cool) while xm has baseball and asscar! Another thing is they are both going to become one very soon. Not sure what that will do to prices!

when they merge it won't matter which unit you get. You can chose 10 stations from the other guys. Like you get all of XM channels if you have a XM then you can chose 10 station from Sirius. Thats what their plan was last time I checked.

XM fan here.

they have an XM antenna that goes on the Garmin Zumo 550...all it takes is money, right?

I've had a sirius sporster 4 in my Titan for over a year now and I love it. I just ordered one of these to put it on my gen II 'busa. Can't wait to try it out on the cycle!!!!

I'm going to use the Tech mount to mount my Zumo. I ordered the motorcycle mount for my Sportster4 off of the Sirius site.

I bought my Sirius Sportster 4 last year and installed it on both the bike and the truck. I got nothing but good things to say about it.. This year I'm thinking about a small fm headphone set for the helmet so I can listen to the sirius and be wireless. As far as programing,

NFL
Nascar
NBA
Howard Stern

Doesn't get much better than that.

I did do a write up about it and if I can figure out why my albumn pics are not showing, I can add it here also...
