Ok... after many choice words and taking 1 step foward and 2 steps back many times followed by a few more choice words...and 2 days later all clean and polished this is what we end up with...

Thanks again GPW for the deal on the exhaust and hogger for the pointers on the install.  I've never installed a full system before and was making all the rookie mistakes!  The fit however isnt as good as I had hoped it to be.  After getting things loose and removing and reinstalling the headers and mid pipe sections i just couldnt get the "y pipe" to get off the plastics on the bottom of the bike where the wing meets the 2 lower fairings.  I went to Lowes and bought some refective tape and lined both lower fairings with it and after riding today it seems to be working great.  I did have some melting though on the under side where the "wing" meets the 2 lower fairings.  ( this is where i couldnt get any space between plastic and the "y pipes" ) so tomorrow i'm going to have to remove the left fairing and get a little dremel action on it so i dont have a melt down.  The pipe sounds great, but i am throwing flames on decel and sometimes while shifting.  Guess my PC3 map is a bit rich for the set up... gonna have to mess with that too... or maybe the marble mod is in my future....

All you need to do now is stretch it.

Its funny you say that... every time my wife see's a picture or a tv show with a streched busa she's like man thats cool... your bike would look good like that... i'm like, your right it would... who knows... maybe some day!

Now that I understand where you were talking about, at the very bottom of the Y it is a tight fit. There was already some OEM heat shield there and I did not have any issues. I did not know this was your first exhaust install or I would have done some shot by shot instructions for you. I am glad you worked it out and hope you are happy with the purchase...bet you learned a lot in the last couple of days...modding is always fun..ride safe!

If you are using the map I sent you I have a BMC race filter, small air box mod and short Velocity Stacks, parve removed with APE block off plates and G-Pack....
