I was planning on buying the throttlemeister so I went to their Web Site. Then what do I see first

, in BIG RED LETTERS ------ WARNING READ THIS ! The warning goes on to say they recommend using a dealer and they're not responsible for incorrect installation (Geeezzzzz, I could already figure that out) . The clencher was that this warning is on EVERY PAGE of the Web.
Does anyone know of accidents caused by the throttlemeister. Their warning and the number of times it's on their screen seems a little overboard if they haven't had problems.
So, ANYBODY KNOW ?? Or has anyone here who has the meister for a year or more noticed any problems. I would hate to have a problem cruising at "O" Dark thirty in the morning and have a problem getting off the gas with an immovable object in front of me

I have had the throttle meister on for over a year and I can't think of a single thing that is bad about it. My guess is that people are incorrectly shimming the TM with the washers (included in the kit). I don't know if you know anything about it, but the TM is a friction lock - meaning that at any time you can override it by twisting the throttle. BTW, I do not use the TM in town or in heavy traffic, only on the highway/freeway.

they are just covering thier asses , if some dumb ass installs one and uses too many washers ,grabs a fist full of throttle with the bar end , then forgets to roll it foward , kills self ! they warned you !

the warnings are the same as any other device that locks the throttle , it is truly a great product ! i love mine and bought it from them , they will sell it to you , but want to promote thier dealers , i told theguy that i was leavin on a 500 mile ride and needed it asap , he overnited it to me , realy nice people i think the number on the websit is his home/shop

no i heard a story once , harley group ride ,toys for tots ! and some dumb ass on his brand new bike , locked the throttle and almost killed a bunch of people ! luckily he steered it toward the woods and only injured himself , i imagine the warning was for/because of him!

Love mine! Takes a little experimentation to get the amount of shims exactly right, but definately worth the time and money. I like that they are just bar ends when not in use. No extra clutter or protrusions.

+xxx to only using a throttle lock ONLY on open road. get yorself into trouble in traffic with it. (experience talking...)

As there warning says, "Don't use it in traffic" I had it on two busa's now and love it! Llook good and works great too.

Mine fit right in 1 shim throttleside. It did reduce vibrations which was a big plus.
