does anyone know where i can get a throttle body balancing tool like the one in the service manual besides the suzuki dealership. like a cheap one from the local parts place or something. dealerships overcharge way too much for their stuff. about how much do they cost anyway?

i cant believe no one on this board knows where i can find this thing. does anyone know how much it cost from the suzuki dealer?

I would definately call the dealership first so that you can find out how much they are going to overcharge you for it.

Good idea BT. ;)

What exactly does the balancing tool do? Is it like a slack-tube manometer where you measure the air flow through each TB? How do you adjust the air flow once you know what it is? Are there adjustments for the butterflies on each TB?

You've got me curious, now I'm gonna have to go get a damn service manual of my own. Thanks :D

yeah the tool has 4 tubes with a ball in each tube. you hook each of the 4 lines to each of the throttle bodies. the goal is to make all 4 balls align with each other in the tubes. to do that there is an adjustment on each throttle body. thats just a basic how to w/o going into detail.

That's cool. I get the idea. I don't think I'm going to be messing with any of that any time soon. I didn't no if you could adj the TB's or not. I guess it's the same as synchronizing carbs.

Good luck to you! :)
