Ok, I have a new MotionPro sync tool, the one with Mercury in it. I had to put the mercury into. I think that was the scariest thing I've done in a while. Consider all the things that could go wrong and end up with me dead on the floor.
The bike.... 05'Busa stock engine with a K&N filter and a Yosh full 4 into 1 RS3 system. No PC.
I had the tool hooked up in the arrangement it says to. At idle I could get all 4 pretty even. Though the rpms would rise some and the #1cyl seem always higher. After a few times I managed to get them close, within an 1/8th inch or less of each other. Then I set the idle at 3k and set them again

I reread Jinkster's thread with how to do it. I guess I shoulda did just the idle and left it. I'll go back and check it out.

I have a set of carbtune Pro's on the way to me as we speak. Gonna give this a try also.

I always set it at idle speed.

Then readjust at 2,500 rpms.

Then readjust again at idle speed.

Seems to work out well.

I normally go to idle and then check to see how far off at it is revving... usually, if the idle is stable, the sync is good. I have seen some people who set the sync at higher RPMs to get the motor running smooth - but never go back and check it at idle.
