throttle gap?

Is this gap between the throttle and the killswitch module normal for Hayabusas?

Its always been like this since I got the bike. Doesn't seem to be anything wrong with how it functions, but it just looks kind of ugly. Recently took the killswitch apart to check wires and was hoping it would tuck more into the housing but that didn't seem to be the case, it wouldn't tuck in any further and the handle itself either.
This anything to be concerned about or is it just a fact of the bike design?

If you want it to disapear, get some metallic hvac tape, scissors, some patience, and you can cleanly cover the exposed white plastic.
Just be careful not to close the gap to the switch, or the throttle could stick.
Alright cool, I was wondering if something was missing. I see some people have some sorta cruise control thing in that spot sometimes. Was thinking maybe the previous owner took it off and didnt close the gap or something. Alright, no problem then. Thanks!
