Tick tock

:banghead:Ok, I installed a set of Voodoo pipes and a bazzaz box. The bike runs good. 2 things though. There is a tick when i crank the bike up most of the time it goes away after a good warm up. The other thing is the bike sounds and feels like its going to fly apart at about 90mph. The tune is the one that came from bazzaz for slip on pipes. oh wait the bike also surges when ideling the headlight will be bright and then it will dim and then back again. Is this normal? I havent had any dead battery problems. Can some one help????:banghead:

I get the same sound during warm ups,,,, nothing major... as for the "going to fly apart" thats also normal considering the pipes you installed. i guess the light changing intensity is also normal (if you start the bike cold) as the idle would be slightly up then would go down... try this... warm up the bike very well then switch it off... start the bike again and watch the light,,, BTW whats your idle reading once the bike is fully warmed up? it should be around 1100 or 1150.

Do you realize you have posted 3 threads on the same topic? You arent so bright im guessing...

its a 2009 my idle speed is good right at 1150. sorry about posting so many times but if you dont like it then dont read um, just looking for educated answers or guess's thanks all.

All you merely need to do is bump your old thread by posting on it. Just telling you thats all. posting multiple threads is not going to get you any more help than one

You could remove the bazzaz and see if that clears it up. Since thier just slip ons, it wont hurt it to idle or cruise around the block and see if it acts the same. The flyin apart is probly just a side effect form the short pipes.

:poke: Why is there so much NEGATIVE post's when someone ask's questions ?? I really thought that we were here to help each other out when things are not going right .???

Put the video camera and can of polish down and get out and ride it. It was "OMFG wonderful just you knew if would be" 15 days ago and suspect it hasn't changed much since then. That Tick is probably an exhuast leak that is sealing itself off through expansion after it warms up.

Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Oh Lord, kumbaya

The tick goes away after the engine warmed up... Had the tick since new & I've read numerous similar topics to feel confident nothing is out of the ordinary...

I would try to clean this thread up, but please keep your posts on topic. Thank you.
