Timing retards eliminator..........is it worth it???

I have a 1999 gsxr1300......when i was doing some reaserch on this bike I have just perchased I stubbled upon the timing retard eliminator.... then I started asking friends of mine about them and a few of them said its worth it,and that it allows the bike to surpass 186mph.....So just basically would like some other opinions and answers on this plug and play device.


I would also like to know the plus and minus of this device like power increase or powerloss?
Will it effect reliability on the bike?

Yes the 99 and 2000 models were unrestricted.

yep, what they said...the 99 and 2000 models do not need a TRE, as they were unrestriced from the factory.

Been a long time since I've seen a TRE thread on here. They used to be pretty common back in the days when I first joined the Org. Kinda glad to see it actually, brings back some fun memories from out of the way back when file..

Don't do it. Your bike is completely unrestricted. Grip It and Rip It to 200 MPH
