Tire Change and use of Pit Bull rear stand/other info

Did my rear tire change at 3659 miles,my old tire was still good but did not want to chance it since the weather should change soon to rain.I used a Pit bull rear stand and the only down side was that the rear tire will not come out straight due to the stands arm which is bent up slightly and the rear fender is longer than normal which makes it hard to remove the rear tire.It is easy if you remove the little plastic unit on the bottom of the Hayabusa near the rear tire and removing the rear brake bracket would help also.Did the under side cleaning at this time also used WD-40 to get all the grim of the swing arm.I stayed with the stock tire since the price was right $128. Talked to the guys at Road Rider MC store and they have the Pilots 200 for $178 plus tax.
I went to my friend's shop Robs Cycle and he told me that he dynoed another Hayabusa stock 156rwhp,then he installed a full Yosh titanium Tri-oval and mapped it for L=+5,M=+5 and H=-5 and they got 167rwhp.The mapping was done with a Yosh box.Well Ride safe and have a happy Holidays and don't drink and drive.

Thanks for the info on the Pilot 200 tire Cisco. I didn't know that they were now available. Larger price difference than I expected between the Pilots and OEM making it a less attractive alternative for me. Suzuki sells a plain jane rear stand for $80 that works well for changing rear tire.

Todd,my friend that works for Road Rider said he ordered the Pilot 200 and they have the 190 Pilot in stock, sorry I didn't say that the 200 where on order and should be in soon.

OK Cisco - maybe you could let us know when they start stocking them. Those will probably be the best prices anywhere. I've got a while since I'll probably go through at least two OEM rears on the Y2K before changing both front and rear. I'm going to have to come up with a front stand by then so I can pull the front wheel/tire. It sounds like the Pit Bull front stand with accessory would work for the Busa?

Hey Factory how close to the gap are you...I`m around 3-4 hours away...we need a mountain meet this spring! Maybe we can get Don there also....anyone else interested? Now to the subject..sorry...I use a eye bolt in garage ceiling with chain hoist and either jack bike up or lower lift out from under it. I have used the pit bull once and it worked great on rear...my fender is also removed though.

CBX, I'm 900 miles away (from Townsend TN)- I live in Dallas TX. I'm trying to get back there next spring. Hopefully Memorial Day weekend. It's a long day there and back but, well worth the trip.

Suzuki stand in the rear works for me, and the Pit bull fork stand in ther front (this is the stand that lifts from the bottom of the forfs. Works great and is very stable!

Very happy with the purchase.

I've also got the Pitbull stand (rear)and changed my rear tire last week. I didn't have any trouble, however, I have cut my fender flush with the bottom of the trunk to clean up the back. I eliminated the stock turn signals, but integrated the signals into the rear break with the conversion kit from TX Fairing.

By the way, at 2,000 I took the stock rear tire off - the Battlax - b/c I was going on a trip to Deals Gap back in June. After running apx. 6,500 miles on my Michelin Macadam 90x, I put the stock Balttlax back on to get the last bit of tread out of it. I'm amazed at how much better the Michelin gripped the road.

I've always like the Michelin b/c of the great mileage I get out of them, but I never really thought they stuck better than the Battlax. I thought they were as good, but not better. After riding nearly 1,000 on the original Battlax, I'm convinced that the Micheline is a much better handleing tire. - My opinion and my experience.
