TIRE COMPARISON

Hey guys. Getting ready for new tires and had some questions. Last drag season I stuck with the pilot powers and before I go with it again I was wondering if any of you have had experience racing both of these tires. The pilot power hooked great plus it was AMAZING on turns for street riding. But if there is a better tire for the track I want to hear about it. And I can't afford a Mickey Thompson right now so I'll go ahead and cut you off there

. Well thanks guys.

If you hooked good with the pilot power stick with it, I ran a ultra soft shinko last year and on some nights was down as low as 8 to 10 psi to get it to hook which killed my mph. On stock wheelbase bikes the pilot power is hard to beat.

Well I am going to be stretched six inches this season but I agree with you. Don't fix it if it ain't broken. Ha. The pilot power never let me down so I'll just stick with it.

Run a Pilot Power. I have always run one with the exception of a single Stinko. It sucked and I pulled the heavy beast off my wheel. If you can find a Pilot Race go with that. It is a buch better tire that the Pilot Power, but it doesn't last as long.

If your going 6 inches over I would go with the pilot race for sure unless your track is preped very very good. you will probably have trouble with just a power at 6 inches over.

I will stay with michelin. I am thinking it will stay that way until I can afford the mickey thompson. Like I said, it hasn't let me down yet.
