just got a set of pilot power HPX's just wondering what air pressure i should run for street riding?
+1(DaCol. @ May 21 2007,18:37) I run 42 psi, why, cause the book says so and I've never had any issue with them at that psi. Good mpg, Good handling, and Good stopping. So, for me, why change
yep.(Devil Dog @ May 21 2007,15:15) Tire Pressures:
Trackdays 30-34psi depending on temp
Canyons 34-36psi
Commuting(reducing tire wear) 40-42psi
Charles and BA schooled me these pressures.....(WWJD @ May 21 2007,15:58)yep.(Devil Dog @ May 21 2007,15:15) Tire Pressures:

the guys below do not run "Factory recommended PSI" to do what they do. so, if you lean much on streets, reconsider

-1,000,000 that book is written by Suzuki...they make the bike NOT the tires. The max pressure is 42...they list(justtight @ May 21 2007,18:59)+1(DaCol. @ May 21 2007,15:37) I run 42 psi, why, cause the book says so and I've never had any issue with them at that psi. that pressure for dual riding AND SOLO riding
Suzuki because of liability issues is smart to give the MAX #...but your type of riding should be the
determining factor...many of the tire manufacturers will give you different #'s
Hummmmmmmmm, so you've got close to 5000 miles on your tires and you've got lots of tread left. So, why do you want to change. What do you want out of them, because I generally only get about 7,000 to 7,500 out of my front and 3,500 to 4,000 max out of my rear(umairhashmi @ May 21 2007,19:17) So what kind of pressure should you have in the stock tires for solo rides? Right now i have 42psi in both but i do think its kinda high because so far i have close to 5k miles on my bike and still lots of thread left.Or maybe im just a ***** rider
