tire pressure?

Tire Pressures:
Trackdays 30-34psi depending on temp
Canyons 34-36psi
Commuting(reducing tire wear) 40-42psi

I run 42 psi, why
wink.gif
, cause the book says so and I've never had any issue with them at that psi. Good mpg, Good handling, and Good stopping. So, for me, why change

yep.

the guys below do not run "Factory recommended PSI" to do what they do. so, if you lean much on streets, reconsider

If you lean that much on the street, you REALLY need to reconsider. Like, maybe go to the track

Never has there been a topic to cause so much debate...

42 always feels to stiff for me...

I run anywhere from 32 to 38 depending on where and how I am riding.

but opinions vary...

Charles and BA schooled me these pressures.....

It has worked great thus far.

Remember 42 psi is max pressure. So if you weigh a lot, you're carrying a passenger, and your saddle bags are full you should be running 42psi.

Depending on your type of riding...VERY aggressive 36-38 front and rear...just a cruiser/commuter type 40-42 front and rear

-1,000,000  that book is written by Suzuki...they make the bike NOT the tires. The max pressure is 42...they list
that pressure for dual riding AND SOLO riding

Suzuki because of liability issues is smart to give the MAX #...but your type of riding should be the
determining factor...many of the tire manufacturers will give you different #'s

So what kind of pressure should you have in the stock tires for solo rides? Right now i have 42psi in both but i do think its kinda high because so far i have close to 5k miles on my bike and still lots of thread left.Or maybe im just a ***** rider

Hummmmmmmmm, so you've got close to 5000 miles on your tires and you've got lots of tread left. So, why do you want to change. What do you want out of them, because I generally only get about 7,000 to 7,500 out of my front and 3,500 to 4,000 max out of my rear
