what do u guys think of the stock tires. I only have 3500 miles on my 08 busa and the stockers still have plenty of life left, but i have noticed lately they slip all the time going into turns. Not sure if it is bc the pressure is a bit low (33 psi), the tires just suck, or it's my lack of riding skills into the corners bc i haven't been riding much the last few months. About time to put the bike up for winter anyway, but next season i think i might get a better set of tires

All tires perform poorly in cold weather. Maybe it's the chill in the air?

I have stock tires also on my 09 with about 2600 miles. I've noticed that on my morning commute when it's below 60 that my tires slip very easily. The rear tire will slip in a turn or under moderate acceleration. I didn't have this problem a month ago and I just chalked it up to the cold weather. :dunno:

Are there better tires for cornering and grip? Yes! Are there better tires for longer mileage and touring? Yes! But, the bridgestone 015 is a descent all around tire and probably more capable than most riders are. Use it until it's spent and then decide what you want in a tire. There are always trade offs. You can't have it all.

I trash the stockers early...hate them with a passion, but other's will run the hell out of them with no problems.

Took mine off at 400 miles~!~

But as said before, any tire shows less grip once the weather turns upside down~!~

Agree with all the points previously mentioned. My stock tires BT015 expired at a little over 3000 miles. Because i intend doing a lot of 2 up riding and touring from now on i needed the replacement to be more durable but still with decent level of perfrormance. I took advice from a fellow Busa rider i met at Squires Milk bar. His OE tires lasted less than 2000 miles of hard riding, fitted Michelin Road Pilot 2 and was v happy with them. I had them fitted to my K8 and 1500 miles later i have to agree with him. Granted the grip is not quite as good as the BT015 but like a previous poster said there is always a trade off and it depends what you priorities are.

Michelin Pilot Power CT2's...
They're dual compound...hard in the middle and softer on the sides, which make for a longer, more even wear. Even in the rain, no problems. In colder weather, no matter what tire, BE CAREFUL! Diablo's are about the same as far as performance.

My stockers lasted my for over 6k miles. Just got to take it easy when its cold and you'll be set.

The stock B15's are garbage IMO.

I will be going with the Michelin Road Pilot 2s before next spring as most of my riding it touring.

Ah good old Bridgestone Battleaxe, shudda been called battlecrap, I think they're one of the worst tires I've ever ridden, they wobble and dance thru every curve. No matter how I play with the suspension dampning or the air pressure. Somebody at Suzuki needs a good beatdown for allowing such garbage tires on such a great machine.
