The hump pad zips underneath the seat and sits back in against the hump - it doesn't work if you are using the passenger seat...(ambulldog @ May 15 2007,17:20) getting ready to order a tobin front seat. not sure if i want the hump pad or not. does the hump pad actually serve any purpose? i cant see how you would lean back against it. thanks
+1 I don't use mine anymore either. It really locks you in and doesn't allow me to move. I guess if I was into Drag Racing I would use it. But it's just uncomfortable on a regular road trip. It does work very well to take the space between you and the hump.... I don't use mine any more.
There is a zipper underneath the seat for attachment, but don't know how hard it would be to add it. I'll have to look when I get home tonite to see where it attaches.(suarezrh @ May 16 2007,08:07) question does the seat have a special zipper for the pad? meaning if i bought a seat off someone that doesn't have the pad, can i add the pad? or will i have to get the seat re-covered?
How is that owrking out for you with the long rides? I am looking for a little back support alternative for my Sept West Coast Tour.(McyMike @ May 21 2007,11:26) Pad makes a difference for sport touring....a little back supports helps a bunch. I found the the Tobin seat was too uncomfortable for "long" rides. I had him (Tobin) send me another zipper and I stapled it to my stock seat so I can zip the back pad on for those 400-500 mile days.
