Got another project goin for Doyle(DR1300R) and I screwed up lol. SORTA. He wanted a custom LED board built for his license plate light since i'm doin another custom setup(to be displayed eventually by him) and its too bright he says.
If their is a cover tint it. It'll look better and keep airplanes from following you. Lol. Couldn't you put a resistor or something to lower the power coming into it. Kinda like a fixed dimmer? Posted via Mobile Device
well i used all the 3mm white ones i had and i told ya previously 5mm won't work because they are too tall. You tell me what ya want me to do or u can cut resistors when u get it till u get the brightness ya want Posted via Mobile Device
I found a bag of 5mm whites and i'll see bout just makin a 4 LED board & devisin some way to make it fit. Wish I knew what I did with my old taillight portion that I cut off so I could guinea pig it lol Posted via Mobile Device
Well I think Doyle's motivation is to have stuffnoody else has. While my stuff is not always "one of a kind" Its still predminantly one-off creations. I did custom LEDs in white and red for his headlight, made a board to fit around his hyperlite in old taillight as well as his "pimp lights" in the lense, and retrofitted his gsx-r1000 rear turn signals to include orange LEDs for turn signal as well as red for additional brake lights. Oh and to clarify on Strife's question; That is a board of 12 3mm LEDs wired for a 13.6v current as from what i've researched, to be our bikes' running voltage. Thats how i've had my various boards i've made for my bike wired and none have failed in 2 years.
If anyone needs a truck bed light apparently i'll have one for ya lol. I'll find some way to make the regular 5mm LEDs work since thats what Doyle's reqest was. He needs more red LED pimpage Posted via Mobile Device
