Top Speed....finally

I had a chance to max out the Hayabusa last night. I pulled a friends new zx 11 at the top of fifth and then pulled away in sixth. Speedo read 210. I would hope it is a legit 185. Zx's can run, I was happy to see it, but happier to not see it too long.

Thanks for the post Happy 13. An honest race with honest results is interesting and refreshing. With the Hayabusa being the worlds fastest production bike a given, its good to know its predecessor (the ZX11) is not a total dog as some visiting this site would like us to believe. Be aware, and respect your competition, or it might bite you in the arse.
BTW: I call the ZX11 the predecessor to the Hayabusa because in my opinion, the ZX11 held that title (Worlds Fastest Production Motorcycle)until the Busa was released. I have never felt that the XX held the crown because it has never unequivocally beaten the ZX11. One mile an hour faster or slower or .01 second faster or slower (depending on the mag you read) does not convince me of anything. "In order to be the man you have to beat the man" The Busa on the other hand wipped the ZX11 (and the XX) hands down. Over 10 miles an hour is a convincing victory. Congrats to the Busa. Enjoy your crown now while you can, it could be a short lived victory.

you HOPE ? Dude I ran mine on the dyno for a top gear pull and at just a little over 210 on the speedo equal'd 194 mph !!!! I personally only hit 195 while on the street on my bike ... got scared! curves were coming. :)
