Topgun from Allied Barter?

I've recently read a rash of bad things about Sylvio's customer service. At the time I ordered my stuff about 2 months ago, he was still really well considered here. Anyway, the shipping of all the parts took close to a month and a half because half of the order was lost etc. etc. Anyway, I got the undertail last and I had a couple of questions. I've emailed Sylvio as well but I figured I'd compare other's experiences here too.

Did your undertail come with some kind of signal integrator? All I have are some wires with a male end plug style connector on them. Did you have to custom wire everything?

For those who have used the carbon fibre plate mount bracket, do you have to drill holes in the undertail? I just got done chopping the whole butt end of my baby up, I'm not looking forward to drilling more holes.

#1 do you have aftermarket exhaust?
#2 did you cut off the left side exhaust hanger?

if the answer is yes & no then use the bracket on the hanger. Thats what I did and it works great

I have an HMF dual highmount that I haven't got on the bike yet. I'll probably use some temporary rig for now. My main concern is with the lights. I know I can wire them myself, I'm just wondering if I should have received an integrator.

I drilled holes under the undertail. It's the same bracket that Silvio send you. Here's a pic.

Guys, I'm not bashing on anybody here. Hehe, all I want to know is whether or not Allied Barter Top Gun undertails come with a signal integrator? Somebody who has one please answer that question.

No signal integrator included with the kit. You can incorporate a resistor in the line to adjust the speed of the signals. I left mine because I think it would be more receptive by cagers.

SYLVIO IS AN OK PERSON TO DO BUSINESS WITH.DO REMEMBER HE ALSO HAS A FULL TIME JOB.
So does Tobin. He can be slow to respond occasionally, too, but he was honest with me. Busy and slow are excusable. In my opinion, lyin' to yer customer and leadin' 'em on are NOT.

Anybody that lies to me a couple times and then flat out tells me that they'd rather cancel my order than to give me known to be accurate information on the status of the order is NOT an ok person to do business with. Maybe your standards are lower when you're spending your money. Mine are higher than that...

Got my Top Gun from Second Look. No integrator included, just the male ends like you got. The lights will have to be cut into the stock wiring best I can tell.

If you plan to use the included CF tag bracket, yes, you will have to drill holes in the undertail. I'm not crazy about doin' that either. I'm lookin' into other options. Luckily, since I'm not installin' my TG until I do my paint job I'm not rushed to find the best option.

Well I've got it all installed. I hardwired a 3/2 trailer light converter into the stock wiring. Then I wired the tail light wires into a 4-pin flat plug. I put plug in splice connectors on the blinkers and wired them in upstream of the 3/2 converter. So now I've got integrated tails along with normal blinkers. Plus, I didn't have to cut off the factory connectors. The only issue I'm having right now, is that it appears that the 3/2 converter causes enough resistance that the tail lights barely flash when the blinkers are hooked up. I'm going to try and play with it some more to get it balanced out. I figure ultimately I will talk to Icemann and put his Libertek's. Now I'm trying to figure out how to build a custom bracket for my license plate. And I don't know about the rest of you, but in Texas we have to have an inspection sticker out too. It's usually displayed on a plastic plate behind the license plate. Thus, your plate setup is about 1.5 times the height of just the plate. It's going to be an awkward setup. I'll post pics when I'm done.
